Rockstar Games has announced that the original Red Dead Redemption will be released on iOS, Android, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The remastered version will launch on December 2nd.
On December 2, the epic Western adventures Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare will be available for the latest mobile devices and on current generation consoles — with free upgrades, the ability to carry over game progress, and a number of enhancements.
Remaster Details:
- The package will include the base game and the Undead Nightmare expansion;
- The PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions will run at 4K and 60 FPS;
- Thanks to DLSS, the Switch 2 version will also deliver 60 frames per second;
- Owners of the Xbox 360, PS4, and Nintendo Switch versions will receive the remaster for free;
- At launch, the game will be included in the GTA+, PS Plus Extra, and Netflix subscriptions;
- The remaster was developed in collaboration with Double Eleven and Cast Iron Games.
It's worth mentioning that recently modders announced a major unofficial expansion titled Nuevo Paraíso: The Forgotten Frontier for Red Dead Redemption 2, which will add an updated Mexico from the first game, new missions, points of interest, and more. You can find the DLC trailer here.
