YouTuber Beardo Benjo has dropped a new gameplay video for the upcoming VR title, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City. The footage gives fans a look inside the Turtles' iconic lair, showcasing various activities players can engage in.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City is set to be the first TMNT game designed specifically for virtual reality headsets. It promises four playable characters—Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael—alongside battles against iconic villains and a dedicated co-op mode. The project is being developed by Cortopia, the studio behind successful VR titles like Escaping Wonderland (82% Steam rating), GORN 2 (85% Steam rating), and Down the Rabbit Hole (93% Steam rating). The game is slated for a 2026 release on SteamVR and Quest platforms. Fans can already wishlist the title on Valve's service.
This news follows the recent announcement that the animated series Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which premiered in August 2024, has had its third and fourth seasons canceled. Separately, the open-world survival simulator ARK: Survival Ascended previously received a paid DLC pack featuring the Ninja Turtles, Shredder, Splinter, April O'Neil, Casey Jones, and more.
