Bethesda Announces a Fully Functional Pip-Boy 3000 for Fallout Fans

Bethesda, in collaboration with The Wand Company, has announced that pre-orders are now open for an exact replica of the Pip-Boy 3000 from Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. Setting it apart from many souvenir replicas, the device is fully operational.

The new product recreates almost all of the content from the original games. Owners will be able to check their character's stats, view a map of the Mojave Desert, and play the Atomic Command mini-game right on the device's display. The Pip-Boy also functions as a clock with an alarm, and for those who prefer to use it as a display piece, it comes with an aluminum stand for showing it off on a shelf.

The gadget's faceplate is made from metal, and the body is constructed from engineering plastic, giving it a feel of authenticity. For comfortable wear on the arm, it features a soft cuff made from memory foam. However, it's important to understand that this is a collectible item, not a modern gadget. The device does not sync with a smartphone and lacks smartwatch features. For additional functionality, it supports FM radio via an external antenna.

Key features of the device include: an IPS LCD screen for displaying the in-game interface, a lithium-polymer battery with USB-C charging, and dimensions of 178×130×130 mm with a weight of 724 grams, making it a precise match for the in-game prototype.

Shipments of the Pip-Boy 3000 are scheduled to begin in the summer of 2026. The recommended price is $300. For many fans of the Fallout universe, this replica could become that coveted accessory that finally blurs the line between the game world and reality.
