GreedFall 2 Update Brings New Area, Companion, Character Editor and Photo Mode

GreedFall 2: The Dying World developer Spiders continues to add fresh content to the RPG. The early access title has received a major 0.3 patch.

The headline addition in this update is an entirely new location called Peren. This ancient city, controlled by the Congregation of Merchants, was once the capital of the Astrian civilization. In Peren players can stroll along canals winding through the city, relax in the park, or admire its large statues and fountains.

The patch also introduces a new companion — Tilla of the Coin Guard, who fights with a two-handed sword. The studio describes him as a rough-around-the-edges man with a sharp sense of humor who will be a valuable member of the hero’s party. The update also adds a character editor, a photo mode for taking striking screenshots, and an option to skip the opening sequence and jump straight into Peren. GreedFall 2: The Dying World is a prequel to the 2019 RPG GreedFall. The new game’s events take place three years before the story of the first title. The project launched into Steam Early Access on September 24, 2024. Versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S are planned for a future release.
