'Skyrim' Fan Recreated Riften in 'The Sims 4' — Project Took a Whole Year
Artis Kenderik
A Reddit user under the nickname DeadgirlRot completed an ambitious build — she recreated the city of Riften from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in The Sims 4. The creation took almost a year, and now the location looks as if it was actually transferred from Tamriel to the world of Sims.
According to the creator, the project started last Christmas, but the work turned out to be "incredibly labor-intensive." Due to The Sims 4's limitations, the entire city had to be placed on a 60×60 lot, so some buildings were simplified. Nevertheless, in the virtual Riften you can find the market, bridges, the central lake, the Bee and Barb tavern, and even the Temple of Mara, where Sims can have a wedding.
I wanted to furnish everything, but there just wasn't enough space. Although the bar is fully functional.
The project caused delight in The Sims 4 community — the post received over 4,300 likes and hundreds of comments:
This looks exactly the same! I can literally see Brynjolf-sim chasing me around the market.
THIS DESERVES MORE RECOGNITION, COME ON!
This is freaking cool, good job. MY TWO FAVORITE GAMES together.
The finished version can be found in The Sims 4 gallery under ID Lilithx88.
