DAVY x JONES Adds Ship-to-Ship Battles

The pirate first-person shooter DAVY x JONES has received a significant update titled "Kraken Hunt." Alongside the update, a trailer showcasing the key features of the patch has been released.
The update introduces ship battles from a third-person perspective. Players can now take control of Command Abby—a vessel that is part warship, part whale. Additionally, players can recruit and upgrade their crew, engage in aerial combat, and face off against a boss—the Kraken. The developers have also enhanced first-person ground battles by adding a five-hit combo system, powerful attacks, and quick strikes. They've revamped shooting mechanics and reworked enemy behavior across the board. Furthermore, the patch improves the user interface and adds Steam achievements, as well as support for AMD FSR4 and NVIDIA Frame Generation technologies. The creators have warned that due to these extensive changes, old save files are no longer compatible, meaning players will need to start a new game.
DAVY x JONES follows the adventures of the legendary pirate Davy Jones, who finds himself in a surreal afterlife for sailors. The game boasts an impressive 86% rating on Steam.
