Ara: History Untold Is Free to Play This Weekend on Steam

Oxide Games has launched a "Free Weekend" promotion for the Steam version of Ara: History Untold — Anniversary Edition. Players can enjoy the game for free until December 1st.

Ara: History Untold is a turn-based historical strategy game developed by Oxide Games and published by Xbox Game Studios, where players are tasked with creating their own nation and guiding it through twelve unique technological eras. Gamers can engage in diplomatic negotiations, wage wars, build and develop cities, manage resources and economies, interact with other nations, and much more.

Ara: History Untold was released on September 24, 2024, for PC. The game received a score of 74/100 on Metacritic, 75/100 on OpenCritic, and 70% positive reviews on Steam. Critics praised its impressive graphics and music, fresh ideas, and variety of mechanics, while noting issues with optimization, a cluttered interface, and a lack of micromanagement as drawbacks.
