New Trademark ‘Control: Resonant’ Registered — Is Remedy Preparing a TGA Announcement?

A fresh filing for the Control: Resonant trademark has been spotted online. It was submitted through Nordia Attorneys at Law, a firm that regularly works with Remedy Entertainment. This directly suggests that the studio is preparing something new within the Control universe. It may be a codename for the sequel or something else entirely.
The application covers not only video games but also the production of TV series and films — which could hint at a sequel as well as a screen adaptation.
Remedy previously announced Control 2 back in 2022, along with a collaboration with Annapurna Interactive to develop series set in the Control and Alan Wake universes. The project is currently in active development, with a release expected no earlier than 2027.
Given the proximity of The Game Awards 2025 — an event where Remedy traditionally delivers major reveals — fans believe that this is where the first teaser for Control: Resonant may appear, whether it ends up being a continuation, a spin-off, or a television adaptation.
