"Scrabble + Balatro": 'TimeSplitters' Creators Presented 'Beyond Words' — Roguelike About Word Building and Boss Battles

MindFuel Games studio, founded by former Free Radical Design (TimeSplitters) developers, announced Beyond Words — an unusual roguelike where players fight not with weapons, but with words.

In each run, players will assemble letter combinations, unlock upgrades, and use over 300 modifiers that completely change the game rules. Developers promise dynamic puzzles, "boss" battles, and even a timed mode.

A demo version is already available on Steam, and the full version release is expected in early 2026 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series, and Switch.
