BattleBit Remastered's Operation Overhaul Update Details Emerge

The developers of the Battlefield-inspired online shooter BattleBit Remastered have kicked off beta testing for their content update, Operation Overhaul. This marks their first major patch since 2023.
The forthcoming update introduces a new map, Mesa, refines the Valley and Kodiak maps, overhauls audio for gunshots, explosions, and footsteps, reworks weapon balancing, adjusts TTK (Time-To-Kill) and gadget stats, enhances graphics, adds new animations, alters air turn and jump speeds, introduces an accelerated sprint, improves the UI, and much more.
Due to graphical and technical improvements, the minimum system requirements will increase. While the developers initially aimed to maintain the previous requirements, that goal proved unrealistic. Following the patch's release, the game will require a minimum of an Intel Core i5-6600K processor (up from an Intel Core i5-2310), 8 GB of RAM (up from 6 GB), and an NVIDIA GeForce GTS 970 graphics card (up from a GeForce GTS 450).
BattleBit Remastered is a military-themed, low-poly, first-person online shooter featuring destructible environments, weapon customization, and controllable vehicles. The game launched into Early Access on June 15, 2023, and has garnered 82% positive reviews on Steam.
In related news, the online shooter Bodycam recently received a major update featuring two new maps.
