Retro game fans have accused the authors of Stranger Things of not paying attention to details

Fans of retro games have found a mistake in the new season of the series Stranger Things. In one scene, Derek Turnbow is playing a version of the Ghosts 'n Goblins game on the NES console that couldn't be run there.
Derek appears at the very beginning of the fifth season. He is an 8-10 year old boy, he is rude to adults and bullies his peers. In one scene, he sits in a room filled with typical 1980s trappings and plays Ghosts 'n Goblins. However, the console is running a version of the game released for arcade machines.
«I love Stranger Things, but Season 5 just committed a cardinal sin. They show a kid playing Nintendo in his room… but the TV is clearly running the arcade version of Ghosts ’n Goblins, NOT the NES port. My retro heart can’t take it».
The fact is that the version of Ghosts 'n Goblins for home consoles had more modest graphics than the game released for arcade machines.
Users suggested that the authors of the series simply chose an option that would look more colorful on the screen, not expecting anyone to pay attention to it.
Earlier, actor Noah Schnapp confirmed that the main twist of the first part of the fifth season of Very Strange Cases — the revelation of Will's secret abilities — was hidden right on the official poster of the season. And the actor found out about it just as unexpectedly.
