Red Dead Redemption Mobile Officially Launched for Android and iOS

The acclaimed cowboy action classic, Red Dead Redemption, has officially arrived on mobile. You can now grab the mobile version from Google Play and the App Store. While the game is priced at $40, Netflix subscribers have the perk of downloading it for free.
This mobile release bundles the core game with the beloved, sprawling story expansion, Undead Nightmare, along with bonuses from the Game of the Year Edition. However, the multiplayer mode has been regrettably omitted from this mobile port. Regarding system requirements, Android devices will need at least 6GB of RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7/8 or MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor to run the game. For optimal performance, the developers recommend 8GB of RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1/Gen 2 chip. iOS users will need an iPhone 11 or a more recent/powerful model.
This mobile launch follows Rockstar Games' earlier release of an updated version of Red Dead Redemption for modern consoles, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch 2. That version boasted enhanced detail, improved shadow quality, and an increased draw distance. On Sony and Microsoft's current-gen consoles, the game runs at a crisp 4K resolution and a smooth 60 FPS. While the Switch 2 version operates at a lower resolution, it still manages to maintain a consistent 60 frames per second.
In related news, earlier this November, a significant fan-made expansion titled Nuevo Paraíso — The Forgotten Frontier was announced for Red Dead Redemption 2. This ambitious project aims to finally bring Mexico into the game world. You can watch the trailer for this fan DLC here.
