Elon Musk has disabled the image creation feature of the Grok neural network so that users can stop generating nude photos of other people. However, the restriction only affected those who do not have a paid subscription, The Guardian reports.

The Grok neural network is embedded in the social network X (Twitter). You can communicate with her publicly by simply mentioning Grok in the comments.

Recently, users have begun to massively ask the neural network to undress people whose photos were posted on X. As a rule, it was about women whom Grok portrayed in revealing outfits and sexualized poses. According to media reports, there have been cases when this happened with children's pictures.

Soon, Elon Musk was threatened with fines from regulatory authorities, and the case could go as far as a complete ban on X in the UK.

In response, the businessman limited the capabilities of his neural network.

"Image generation and editing are currently limited to paying subscribers".

This means that the feature is limited for most users, but paid subscribers can still generate explicit photos. However, according to The Guardian, X stores all their data, including credit card information, so such people can be identified in case of abuse.

Despite its controversial features, Grok is considered a successful neural network. Elon Musk's chatbot showed the lowest level of hallucinations. Grok generated unreliable responses only in 8% of cases, for comparison, ChatGPT had this parameter of 35%, and Google Gemini — 38%.
