Publisher Soft Source Publishing and developer Digital Happiness have announced that the DreadOut Remastered Collection is officially coming to Xbox One on January 14. Digital pre-orders are currently available for $30.
The collection originally debuted on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch on January 16, 2025, followed by a PC release later that May. The bundle includes two complete titles: DreadOut and its standalone expansion, DreadOut: Keepers of the Dark.
DreadOut is a third-person supernatural horror game that follows Linda, a high school student trapped in a desolate, abandoned town. Armed with only her smartphone and a digital camera, Linda must fend off terrifying spectral entities and solve intricate puzzles to survive. Keepers of the Dark expands on the lore, focusing on Linda's previously unseen trials within the mysterious Shadow Realm.
Fans of the franchise also have a full-fledged sequel to look forward to, as DreadOut 3 is currently in active development. The upcoming third entry will follow an older, more experienced Linda as a seasoned ghost hunter. The sequel is expected to launch by the end of 2026 for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. The developers recently shared a glimpse of the new game in a recent trailer.
