Sony has signed a contract with K-pop star Kim Chaewon from the LE SSERAFIM group to promote the PlayStation 5. The promotion is aimed at an audience from Southeast Asia.
LE SSERAFIM is one of the most famous South Korean girl bands in the K-pop genre. The band debuted in 2022 with the mini-album Fearless. Kim Chaewon is the most recognizable of all the band members.
The contract with Kim Chaewon was a continuation of Sony's collaboration with Korean idols. Previously, there were advertising campaigns dedicated to the girl band QWER, as well as the singer Lisa from BLACKPINK.
Collaboration with Kim Chaewon involves four videos. In the first video, the singer will sit at a table and read a magazine dedicated to PlayStation, and then play Astro Bot. Each subsequent episode will be dedicated to a different game and Kim Chaewon's relationship with different people.
Kim Chaewon herself admitted that she is not the most avid gamer, but still loves to play. In particular, the girl likes Astro Bot and Stray.
In addition to Kim Chaewon's participation in PlayStation events, it is assumed that Sony can arrange promotions and discounts.
Let us remind you that recently it became known about a less obvious collaboration. A brand of clothing for skateboarders has collaborated with Metal Gear Solid — look, it's not just T-shirts and hoodies.
