Grand Theft Auto 5 was released in 2013, but still continues to show impressive sales. According to the latest Take-Two Interactive report, 225 million copies of this game have been sold.
It is noteworthy that in the previous quarterly report, the developers reported sales of 220 million copies. That is, the growth has now reached about five million copies.
The documents also indicate that Take-Two expects players to spend 17% more. This is largely due to Grand Theft Auto Online, its profitability increased by 27% in the quarter.
It is noted that developers continue to support GTA Online by publishing new content. However, considerable attention is focused on the upcoming release of GTA 6.
Recall that some time ago there were rumors that the disk versions of GTA 6 would be released much later than the digital ones. The head of Take-Two Interactive, Strauss Zelnick, denied the information, saying that this was not in the company's plans.
Previously, Rockstar launched an official marketplace of user-generated content for FiveM and RedM. Authors can legally sell their mods for GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2.
