Resident Evil Requiem is Already in Players' Hands: Spoilers May Be Coming Soon
Vladislav Nikolaev
It seems that copies of Resident Evil Requiem have already made their way into the hands of some players. Photos of the physical versions of the game have surfaced online, and it’s likely that spoilers will start leaking soon.
If these photos are authentic, we can expect to see screenshots and gameplay videos showcasing content that the developers chose not to reveal in the coming days.
This kind of situation happens quite frequently. For Capcom, it has become somewhat of a tradition. All recent installments of Resident Evil have ended up in gamers' hands a few days before their official release.
The events of Resident Evil Requiem will take place in Raccoon City, which has been devastated by a nuclear explosion. The storyline will follow Leon Kennedy and Grace Ashcroft—a brand new heroine in the franchise. The game is set to launch on February 27 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC (Steam and EGS), and Nintendo Switch 2.
Previously, a short film for Resident Evil Requiem was released on YouTube, starring actress Maika Monroe, known for her roles in films like It Follows, Independence Day: Resurgence, and The 5th Wave. Before this, Capcom announced that the new game would be less frightening than Resident Evil 7 Biohazard.
