Minecraft in Real Life? World’s First Minecraft Theme Park Coming to the UK

During the Minecraft LIVE broadcast, Mojang Studios announced a partnership with Merlin Entertainments to create the world’s first-ever dedicated Minecraft theme park zone.

Dubbed "Minecraft World," the project will be part of London's Chessington World of Adventures and is set to open its doors in 2027. The developers promise a faithful recreation of the game's atmosphere, filled with iconic details. At the heart of the park, fans can expect the first-ever Minecraft-themed rollercoasters. In addition to rides, the area will feature themed cafes, interactive play zones, and shops stocked with exclusive merch. Well-known Minecraft content creators are also involved in the development of Minecraft World.

The Minecraft LIVE event also revealed the announcement of the action-RPG Minecraft Dungeons 2. The studio shared the first screenshots, a trailer, and PC system requirements. The sequel is slated for a Fall 2026 release on PC (Steam and Microsoft Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Previously, it was confirmed who will be playing Alex in the upcoming A Minecraft Movie 2.
