Tom Henderson: New God of War to Be Announced at State of Play
Reliable industry insider Tom Henderson has revealed that a new God of War title will be officially announced at the upcoming State of Play presentation.
According to Henderson, Sony initially planned to unveil the game back in April but decided to hold back the major announcement for its summer showcase. If rumors are to be believed, the upcoming project could be a spin-off starring Faye, Kratos' wife and Atreus' mother. Cory Barlog, the creative director behind the 2018 reboot, is reportedly overseeing development.
As a reminder, a live-action God of War series tracking the adventures of Kratos and Atreus is also currently in production at Amazon and Sony Pictures Television. Ryan Hurst and Callum Vinson are set to star in the leading roles. Back in February, fans got their first official look at the adaptation's key characters.
