Nintendo Announces a Giant Donkey Kong Plush That Costs as Much as a Switch 2 Console
Nintendo has opened pre-orders for the Donkey Kong Jumbo Soft Toy — a giant plush that the company is selling exclusively through the Nintendo Store. The new item is set to launch on November 12, 2026, and will only be available for purchase online.
The main talking point, however, is the price. The toy costs £395.99 or €469.99, which, on the Nintendo Store, is exactly the same as the Switch 2 console. What's more, it's limited to just one per customer, so collectors will have to choose wisely.
The product description bills it as both a cuddly companion and a piece of home decor. The dimensions of the Donkey Kong Jumbo Soft Toy are equally impressive: standing 76.5 cm tall, 70 cm wide, and 136 cm deep.
Nintendo also made a point of listing the materials used. The plush is made from polyester and polyurethane foam, so this isn't just a novelty trinket — it's a proper oversized household item with some real heft to it.
What surprises you more: the sheer size of the Donkey Kong Jumbo Soft Toy, or the fact that its price matches the Switch 2 at the Nintendo Store? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
