NVIDIA and MediaTek Could Unveil PC-Focused Processors at Computex 2025

NVIDIA and MediaTek are gearing up for Computex 2025, where both companies are scheduled to deliver keynote presentations. Rumor has it that they’ll use the stage to unveil new joint processor designs aimed at desktop and notebook PCs. These chips, based on Arm architecture, have been the subject of speculation for some time, but a formal announcement now seems imminent.

MediaTek is expected to outline its strategy for entering the PC market in collaboration with NVIDIA. According to available information, the companies may introduce chips codenamed N1 and N1X — streamlined versions of the already announced GB10. Originally designed for professional AI workstations, the GB10 combines NVIDIA’s Grace CPU and Blackwell GPU into a single system-on-chip, with generous amounts of RAM and storage onboard.

The upcoming PC versions of these processors are expected to be more modest in terms of specs — better suited to the mainstream market. Instead of the 20-core setup found in the GB10, consumer variants will likely feature 8 to 12 CPU cores and reduced memory, possibly between 16 and 32 GB. GPU configurations may also vary depending on the target segment.

Industry sources report that MediaTek has already secured a large amount of manufacturing capacity from ASE, a major chip assembly and testing provider. The chips are expected to use FCBGA packaging — a common format for desktop CPUs — suggesting they are indeed intended for PC use. While no specific launch dates have been confirmed, some reports point to a potential delay until 2026 due to ongoing technical hurdles. Still, a public reveal at Computex 2025 would mark a key milestone in bringing new Arm-based alternatives to the Windows PC ecosystem.
