RedMagic Unveils Gaming Tablet with Active Cooling and PC Game Support

RedMagic has introduced the Tablet 3 Pro, a gaming powerhouse boasting cutting-edge hardware and innovative tech. It sports a 9.06-inch OLED display with a blistering 165Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. The screen delivers exceptional image quality and incorporates 5,280Hz PWM dimming for reduced eye strain during long sessions.

Under the hood sits the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with RedMagic’s dedicated RedCore R3 Pro gaming chip. This combo not only runs mobile games at high frame rates – like Minecraft at 165fps and PUBG Mobile at 120fps – but also emulates popular PC games.

RAM options range from 12GB to 24GB of LPDDR5T, while storage comes in 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB UFS 4.1 Pro variants. Keeping things cool is the advanced ICE-X cooling system with liquid metal, a vapor chamber, and an RGB-lit fan to manage chip temperatures under heavy load.

An 8,200mAh battery fuels the tablet, delivering around 5.5 hours of gameplay according to RedMagic. 80W fast charging tops it up to 50% in roughly 20 minutes. Other features include a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port supporting video output to external displays up to 8K at 60Hz. In China, the base model (12GB+256GB) starts at $555, with higher-spec versions reaching $835 for the 24GB+1TB model. It launches globally as the RedMagic Astra on July 1st.
