OnexPlayer Ranger X1 Air: A Tablet-Laptop-Console Hybrid Powered by Intel Lunar Lake Lands on the Scene

OnexPlayer has announced an intriguing hybrid device called the Ranger X1 Air. Marketed as a "3-in-1" solution, it combines the functionality of a tablet, a compact laptop, and a portable gaming console. Its headline feature is the inclusion of the brand-new Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor from the Lunar Lake lineup.
The Ranger X1 Air will be among the first devices on the market to utilize the energy-efficient Lunar Lake chips. A key aspect of this platform is its 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM integrated directly onto the processor package. This design reduces latency and boosts power efficiency. Beyond its impressive power efficiency (starting at just 8W TDP), Lunar Lake brings improved Intel Battlemage (Xe2-LPG) graphics and a powerful NPU. This neural processing unit is capable of over 45 Trillion Operations Per Second (TOPS), significantly accelerating AI-powered applications.
The aluminum main body features a built-in kickstand. A magnetically-attached keyboard snaps onto the device, transforming the tablet into a laptop. Additional detachable game controllers allow it to function as a portable console. For both work and play, it sports a 10.95-inch display with a 2560x1600 (2.5K) resolution. A sizable 72Wh battery promises solid battery life on a single charge.
Connectivity includes two USB4 ports (with Thunderbolt 4 support), enabling connections to external monitors, storage drives, or even external GPUs (eGPUs). The device also supports modern communication standards, including Wi-Fi 7. The Ranger X1 Air presents a rare blend of versatile form factor and cutting-edge hardware.
