HONOR Announces Gaming Smartphones with Massive Battery and Built-in Cooler

HONOR has introduced its new Win series of gaming smartphones. The series includes two models: the flagship Win and the more affordable Win RT. The main highlight of the devices is a record-breaking 10,000 mAh battery for modern smartphones, combined with an unusually slim body measuring just 8.3mm in thickness.

The higher-end Honor Win is equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The device features a 6.83-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2800x1272 pixels, a 185Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits. The triple main camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with optical image stabilization, and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor. The younger model, the Honor Win RT, is built on the previous generation Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and comes with a dual-camera setup lacking a telephoto lens. This version also does not support wireless charging.

To combat overheating during long gaming sessions, HONOR engineers have integrated a miniature Ultra Fan into the design. The cooling system is capable of reducing temperatures by 5-7 degrees Celsius during active gameplay. Despite having moving parts, the manufacturer has managed to ensure a high level of dust and water resistance, meeting the IP69 standard.

The 10,000 mAh battery, according to the company, provides up to 16 hours of continuous gaming. It supports 100W wired fast charging, 80W wireless charging (only in the higher-end model), and the smartphone can also act as a power bank for other devices.

The HONOR Win RT in its base configuration with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage is priced at 2,599 yuan (approximately $360). The base version of the Honor Win (12/256GB) costs 3,999 yuan (approximately $555). Sales have currently started only in China, but the smartphones are expected to launch in other countries in the coming months.
