YouTube has begun to tighten the fight against ad blockers. Users of such extensions can now hide comments and descriptions of videos.

It all started when some YouTube users noticed a warning that comments were disabled under almost every video. Dozens of similar complaints have appeared on social media. It later became clear that similar restrictions were imposed on the descriptions of the videos.

The AndroidAuthority drew attention to the problem. Apparently, the reason for the restrictions was the use of ad blockers. It is noteworthy that there are no exceptions in this case, even for YouTube Premium owners.

Users note that when blockers are disabled, all YouTube functions start working properly again.

It's more difficult for those who use browsers with built-in ad blockers, such as Brave. It is noted that YouTube operates there with the restrictions described above.

This is not the first problem that YouTube users have noticed recently. Recently, the video hosting service stopped playing videos in the background when using third-party browsers on mobile devices.
