No Noise, No Heat? Honor Unveils a Laptop With Six Fans and a Price Tag Louder Than the Coolers

Honor has officially unveiled its new Win H9 lineup of gaming laptops. The standout feature is an unusual cooling system that packs no fewer than six fans. On top of the traditional two large fans and five copper heat pipes, four tiny fans sit on the rear panel to blow hot air out. According to Honor, this design dissipates 12.5% more heat compared to standard solutions, while the maximum noise level stays under 38 dB — that’s on par with a quiet room or a whisper.

The laptop comes with a 16-inch IPS display in a 16:10 aspect ratio, 2560x1600 resolution, 300Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits of brightness. The manufacturer claims 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage — something rarely seen in gaming laptops, which might catch the eye of anyone working with photos and videos. Earlier, Honor released a mouse with headphones hiding inside.

The top configuration is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti GPU, paired with 32GB of RAM. The lower-tier versions come with a Core Ultra 7 251HX chip, RTX 5060 or RTX 5070 graphics, and 16GB of RAM. All models pack a 1TB SSD. Battery life is handled by a 92Wh cell, and ports include Thunderbolt 4, USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, USB-A, HDMI 2.1, and Ethernet.

With such powerful internals, the laptop weighs 2.38 kg and measures 2.68 cm thick. The base model with RTX 5060 is priced at 11,500 yuan (around $1,580), while the flagship version with RTX 5070 Ti will set you back 18,000 yuan (about $2,470). The company hasn’t announced any global release dates yet.
