VGTimes Report: What GIGABYTE Showed at Computex 2026
At Computex 2026 in Taipei, we visited the GIGABYTE stand and, together with company representatives, looked at the devices it plans to offer gamers and enthusiasts. Among the main new products are brighter OLED and Mini LED monitors, compact graphics cards with redesigned cooling, laptops with GiMATE AI features, and components that help integrate a powerful PC into a home interior.
GIGABYTE AI Laptops and AORUS MASTER 16
GIGABYTE placed a separate focus on AI gaming laptops at Computex 2026. In addition to the flagship AORUS MASTER 16, the company presented the Copilot+ PC-class AERO X16 and the GAMING A16 PRO. At the center of this lineup is the updated GiMATE, the company’s proprietary AI assistant, which controls performance modes, image settings, and lighting.
We had a chance to see the powerful AORUS MASTER 16 laptop in person. It received the Computex Best Choice award and became the flagship of the new lineup. It features an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D processor and a GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. The processor is rated for a maximum TDP of up to 145 W, while the graphics card is rated for up to 175 W TGP.
At the same time, the chassis is relatively thin for hardware of this level: the laptop is 19 mm thick. GIGABYTE explains this with an updated chassis design and cooling system. The top and bottom covers are made from aluminum alloy, while cooling is handled by the WINDFORCE Infinity EX system with the new Frost Fan 2.0 vapor chamber. The laptop also uses a thinner fan design inside, which allowed the cooling system’s coverage area to be increased by 27%. The WINDFORCE INFINITY EX cooling system is designed for a total system power of up to 230 W.
The OLED panel is an important feature of the AORUS MASTER 16. This type of screen provides a richer image, high contrast, and is better suited both for gaming and watching video.
Another key part of the laptop is GiMATE, the built-in AI assistant inside the company’s Control Center. You can ask it to switch the system’s operating mode with a regular phrase. For example, if you say you want to play a game, the laptop will enable gaming mode. If you need to quickly hold a meeting, it will switch to online meeting mode.
GiMATE has many cool new features. RGB Fusion 3.0 with RGB Music Mode makes it possible to sync the lighting with games or videos. AI Visual allows users to change the image mode for different scenarios. For games, you can choose FPS or RPG mode; for reading, there is Eye Care Mode with reduced blue light or E-paper Mode, which turns the image into a calmer black-and-white mode. It is also worth noting the updated Customize Mode, which provides more flexible control over the balance between performance and power consumption. For content creators, there is GiMATE Creator: the feature uses NVIDIA NVFP4 technology and is meant to speed up generative AI workloads on laptops with GeForce RTX 50-series mobile GPUs.
Besides the AORUS MASTER 16, the AI lineup includes two more models. The AERO X16 is a versatile model for work, creativity, and gaming. It is a Copilot+ PC-class laptop with a GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU and 12 GB of video memory. The model received a Red Dot Design Award for its design.
Another new product is the GAMING A16 PRO. This is a gaming model with a GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU, a 19.45 mm-thick chassis, and a screen that opens 180 degrees. This format is useful if you need to show the screen to someone nearby or work with the laptop in an unusual position.
AORUS AI BOX: External Graphics Cards for Laptops
The AORUS AI BOX deserves special attention — these are GIGABYTE external graphics cards that can be connected to laptops. We were shown the AORUS RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX. It is a compact external GPU box that can be used to boost a laptop’s graphics and AI performance.
GIGABYTE has developed a program called GPU Selector. It allows users to manually assign applications to different graphics cards: for example, a game can run on the external AORUS RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX, while an AI task or work application can run on the laptop’s integrated GPU.
At the stand, this was demonstrated with a simple multitasking scenario. The game continued running on the external AI BOX, while LM Studio with local text generation was launched in parallel on the laptop’s GeForce RTX 5050. At the same time, the frame rate in the game remained high. In other words, different GPUs can be split between tasks instead of loading one graphics card with everything at once.
There is also a more powerful model — the AORUS RTX 5090 AI BOX. It uses a GeForce RTX 5090 inside, so this version is designed for heavier games and workloads. It would be ideal if, for example, you wanted to play through the new James Bond adventure, which you can read more about in our 007 First Light review.
Thanks to solutions like these, a laptop can be used not only as a standalone system, but also as the basis for a more powerful workstation or gaming setup.
AORUS Monitors
At Computex, we were shown the new AORUS ELITE gaming monitor lineup. It includes models with Mini LED and OLED panels, while the presentation focused on high brightness, refresh rates, multiple operating modes, and OLED screen burn-in protection.
First of all, it is worth mentioning the 27-inch AORUS ELITE FM275K16P. This is a gaming monitor with 5K resolution, an IPS panel, and Mini LED backlighting. It uses 2304 local dimming zones, while peak HDR brightness reaches 1250 nits. VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification is also listed.
A GIGABYTE representative separately discussed the color gamut: the monitor covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color space. That puts it close to OLED displays in terms of color reproduction, even though the model itself is built around an IPS panel with Mini LED backlighting.
Another feature of the FM275K16P is Multi-Mode. The monitor can operate at 5K and 165 Hz, at 4K and 220 Hz, and at QHD and 320 Hz. The idea is to let users switch between higher resolution and a higher refresh rate depending on the game. For example, 320 Hz will be useful for fast-paced online titles like the ones we collected in our list of the best first-person shooters.
GIGABYTE also emphasizes pixel density. This 27-inch 5K model has a density of 218 PPI. For comparison, the company representative mentioned a standard 4K monitor, which, according to him, has a density of 166 PPI. As a result, GIGABYTE describes the FM275K16P’s resolution as noticeably higher than that of traditional 4K models in the same category.
Next, we were shown the 27-inch AORUS ELITE FO27Q28G with QHD resolution and a 280 Hz refresh rate. This model uses Tandem OLED technology. It is rated for a 0.03 ms GTG response time and peak HDR brightness of up to 1500 nits. The stand also listed 99.5% DCI-P3, Delta E < 2, NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support, as well as DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification.
A GIGABYTE representative separately talked about the redesigned cooling system. According to him, the company changed the heat pipe on the back of the monitor to dissipate heat from the panel more effectively during prolonged use. This should help extend the lifespan of the OLED panel.
The new OLED models also use a sensor next to the logo. If the user moves away from the monitor, the screen can automatically dim. When the user returns, the image is restored. The same sensor also accounts for the lighting in the room: in a bright room, the monitor raises brightness, while in a dark room, it lowers it.
According to a GIGABYTE representative, the company plans to bring its 27-inch OLED models with 280 Hz and 240 Hz refresh rates to market next month, while they are expected to go on sale by the end of the third quarter. GIGABYTE also plans to offer a four-year burn-in warranty for them.
A 32-inch UHD model with a 240 Hz refresh rate was demonstrated separately at the stand. It also supports Dual Mode, meaning it can switch between different operating modes. A GIGABYTE representative noted that the company will run additional tests for its 32-inch OLED models once it receives more panels and will likely extend the four-year burn-in warranty to them as well.
A common feature of all three monitors shown was the new stand. GIGABYTE emphasizes that it is noticeably thinner and takes up less space on the desk. As a result, it is easier to place a keyboard and mouse in front of the monitor.
AORUS ARI Motherboards
After the monitors, we saw the new AORUS ARI motherboard lineup. The series includes two versions — white and black. The main focus was on the white B850 chipset model, designed in the ARI style.
The board’s main visual feature is a small built-in LED screen with an image of the character. ARI blinks on it periodically. Judging by the explanation at the stand, this is already the third generation of this design approach: examples of previous versions were also placed nearby.
GIGABYTE emphasized ease of assembly. The board has an M.2 heatsink that can be removed without a screwdriver, as well as an M.2 EZ-Latch mechanism for easier SSD installation. The decorative cover can also be removed: a small “secret” drawing with cats is hidden underneath it.
In addition to the board itself, GIGABYTE has prepared themed packaging and accessories. The box includes one version of the ARI accessory, but its color is not known in advance. An ARI graphics card holder and other decorative elements are also provided for a build in a unified style.
AORUS Infinity Graphics Cards
The next section of the GIGABYTE stand was dedicated to graphics cards. In 2026, the company is celebrating its 40th anniversary, and it prepared the new AORUS Infinity series for this occasion.
The main difference between Infinity and GIGABYTE’s previous solutions is the redesigned cooling system. The graphics card design now includes two large pass-through openings. Previously, Screen Cooling used one such opening, but now the company has changed the PCB layout: the board is positioned in the center, while airflow zones are left along the edges. Cold air passes through the fans and heatsink, after which hot air is exhausted outward.
At the stand, GIGABYTE showed the AORUS GeForce RTX 5090 Infinity and AORUS GeForce RTX 5080 Infinity. The company is also preparing RTX 5070 Ti Infinity and RTX 5070 Infinity versions, which, according to a company representative, are expected to launch soon.
GIGABYTE also prepared a demonstration stand with mirrors specifically for the Infinity series. The company calls it a Kaleidoscope design: thanks to the reflections, the graphics card can be viewed from different angles without direct access to it.
We were then shown a working PC with the AORUS GeForce RTX 5080 Infinity. This version uses a Stealth design: the power connector has been moved to the back side of the graphics card. As a result, the power cable does not stick out from the visible side, and the build looks cleaner. Normally, the PCIe 5.0 power connector would be located in this area, but in this version it has been moved to the reverse side.
GIGABYTE separately emphasized the dimensions of the higher-end model. According to a company representative, flagship RTX 5090-level graphics cards used to be very large — almost four slots thick and quite long. The AORUS GeForce RTX 5090 Infinity, by contrast, has been made shorter: in terms of dimensions, it is closer to a regular RTX 5080, while still maintaining effective cooling.
At the end of the stand tour, GIGABYTE showed another working RTX 5090 Infinity. Unlike the Stealth-design version, its power connector is located on the visible side.
AERO Wood: A PC as Part of the Interior
AERO Wood is a series of GIGABYTE components with decorative wood-like elements. It includes motherboards, graphics cards, power supplies, and ready-made demonstration builds in a unified style. Unlike familiar gaming components with aggressive design and bright RGB lighting, the focus here is on a calmer appearance and on helping the PC fit into the interior.
The idea behind the series emerged from a trend that first became noticeable among case manufacturers: more users now want to integrate a computer into a workspace or room, rather than simply place it on the desk as a separate gaming machine.
GIGABYTE showed its first motherboard in this style last year. It was the light-colored AERO X3D WOOD version with wood-like elements. According to the product manager, performance and the feature set remain the foundation, but appearance plays an equally important role in this series: the board should look neat and match the case, power supply, and other components.
The stand also showed a graphics card and a power supply in the same style. The idea is for the components to look like part of one family of devices. In a finished PC build, this makes the system feel less like a separate gaming machine and more like part of the room’s design.
After a positive response to the first Wood series, GIGABYTE decided to develop the direction further. This led to the Dark Wood version — a darker variant with a different visual character. While the light version makes the build softer and brighter, Dark Wood moves toward a more restrained black wood style.
To demonstrate Dark Wood at the stand, GIGABYTE used a Noctua case. In this build, the components do not try to stand out with bright RGB lighting; instead, they fit more calmly into the room. Such a PC does not look like a classic gaming machine with constantly flashing lights.
Nearby, GIGABYTE also showed other build variants with wooden elements. One of them was custom, but it did not look like a complex modding project. Instead, it looked like a clean complete prebuilt PC that one could imagine being sold. There was also another demonstration of the light Wood version at the stand. It continues the same approach: simple design, calm colors, and wooden elements without complex modding.
Case with a Built-In Screen, Peripherals, and GIGABYTE Concepts
Next, we looked at the AORUS C510 Glass Infinity — a compact GIGABYTE case with a built-in 16-inch display. For now, it is still a prototype, but the idea is already clear: in a relatively small case, the company wants to show a powerful build with flagship components while keeping the appearance neat.
Inside the demonstration system, GIGABYTE installed a 1000 W power supply, a GeForce RTX 5090 Infinity graphics card, and a 360 mm liquid cooling system. At the stand, the company emphasized that even a compact case can fit top-tier hardware and deliver high performance. The case is expected to launch around the first quarter of next year, while the estimated price is currently around $300, although it is not final yet.
Nearby, we could see GIGABYTE’s next-generation GPU design — Hyper Boost. Its key feature is two-sided airflow: cold air can reach the graphics card from both the top and the bottom. According to GIGABYTE, this layout can improve cooling efficiency by up to 58%.
The X870 AORUS INFINITY was also present at the stand — a motherboard from GIGABYTE’s anniversary series. It is rated for memory support of up to 11400 MT/s. This particular model is used for extreme memory overclocking.
For its 40th anniversary, GIGABYTE also prepared Infinity-style peripherals. The M10 Infinity mouse supports three connection options: USB, 2.4 GHz, and Bluetooth.
The K10 Infinity keyboard received a separate touch screen. It can be used to control volume, display system status, change the image, or put an animation on the screen. The interface allows users to customize the visual elements to their liking.
At the same stand, GIGABYTE showed another gaming monitor, the AORUS ELITE FO32U24GP, with two operating modes. In its maximum mode, it delivers 4K at 240 Hz, and for fast-paced shooters it can switch to Full HD at 480 Hz. This mode is designed for scenarios where a high refresh rate matters more than maximum resolution.
AORUS PRIME Ready-Made Builds
GIGABYTE also showed ready-made AORUS PRIME gaming desktops in the exhibition area. The lineup includes two models — the AORUS PRIME 3 and AORUS PRIME 5.
The AORUS PRIME 3 is positioned as a system for the mainstream gaming segment. In its maximum configuration, it comes with an AMD Ryzen 7 9700X processor and a GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card. According to GIGABYTE, this configuration is enough for most modern games.
A separate emphasis was placed on cooling. The case uses the company’s own multi-fan layout: two fans are installed at the front, with one more at the back. Air passes through the front mesh panel, which is roughly 80% open. This design should help the system stay cool and quiet during gameplay.
In terms of networking, the AORUS PRIME 3 supports Wi-Fi 7 and 2.5-gigabit LAN. Pragmata was also shown at the stand and used as one of the demo projects for this model, since it is a very visually impressive title, as we wrote in our Pragmata review.
The AORUS PRIME 5 sits higher in the lineup and is aimed at more demanding players. In its maximum configuration, it comes with an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor and a GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card. GIGABYTE describes this system as a ready-made solution for modern AAA games.
For cooling, the AORUS PRIME 5 uses not only case fans, but also a liquid cooling system. It is needed because of the more powerful configuration and should keep the processor within a comfortable temperature range during long gaming sessions.
