GIGABYTE Showed Laptops at Computex Where AI Controls Almost Everything

GIGABYTE brought several new laptops to Computex 2026, and the main highlight isn't even the hardware — it's the integration of the GiMATE AI assistant into nearly every process. All the latest models are based on fresh NVIDIA RTX 50-series mobile GPUs, but the company's bet isn't just on raw power — it's on how the system can adapt to the user.
The AORUS MASTER 16 is the absolute flagship, having won the Computex Best Choice Award. Inside, you'll find an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D processor and a top-tier NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. Despite that, its chassis is just 19 mm thick. Cooling is handled by the WINDFORCE INFINITY EX system, rated for a total power draw of up to 230W without overheating. The AERO X16 is positioned as a Copilot+ PC-class laptop for AI work and creativity. It won a Red Dot Design Award and comes with an NVIDIA RTX 5070 GPU with 12GB of VRAM. Interestingly, it supports DLSS 4.5 and can accelerate on-device processing of large language models. The most balanced solution for gamers is the GAMING A16 PRO, built around the NVIDIA RTX 5080 Laptop GPU. Its chassis also stays thin (19.45 mm), and the screen can fold flat 180 degrees, which is convenient for collaborative work. The manufacturer claims stable performance under extended loads.
The main technological highlight across all new devices is the updated GiMATE management platform. GIGABYTE developed it together with NVIDIA, and the key improvement involves generative AI. Thanks to NVFP4 quantization technology, on-device AI model processing on the new laptops has become significantly faster. GiMATE now handles just about everything:
- Power management: Fine-tuning CPU power limits (SPL, SPPT for Ryzen or PL1/PL2 for Intel) directly from the assistant's interface. Users can manually decide when they need maximum power and when they want to save battery.
- RGB Fusion 3.0 with music mode: The laptop's lighting can now sync with on-screen content or audio in real time.
- AI Visual: The system automatically picks the right image profile for the task at hand — for example, "Cinema", "Racing/FPS", and even "E-paper" modes for comfortable reading.
- MUX Switch: Simplified switching to direct discrete graphics communication for higher gaming performance.
As a GIGABYTE representative told VGTimes in an interview, the GiMATE control panel is packed with features, and anyone can tune their laptop for a range of specific tasks.
