AYN to Raise Prices on Thor, Odin 2 Portal, and Odin 3 Handhelds Starting July 3

AYN, the handheld gaming console manufacturer, will raise prices on the Thor, Odin 2 Portal, and Odin 3 starting July 3, 2026. The reason behind the increase is the persistent deficit of both RAM and internal storage—a crunch that industry experts estimate may continue until 2028.

Specifically, the Thor Lite will go from $249 to $259 (about 20,000 rubles), while the base Thor Base will now cost $329 instead of $319 (roughly 25,000 rubles). The Thor Pro is also getting a bump, landing at $409 (around 32,000 rubles) versus the previous $399. The higher‑capacity Thor Max with 512GB of storage will sell for $479 (about 37,000 rubles), and the top‑tier 1TB configuration will rise to $579 (approximately 45,000 rubles) from $549. All models of the Odin 3 and Odin 2 Portal will see a $10 increase across the board, equivalent to about 769 rubles. The price adjustment applies to every available configuration of these devices.

Another manufacturer announces price hikes

AYN advises customers to grab their desired models before the price increase hits, as future hikes remain possible due to unstable memory supplies. Current batches are the last ones available at the old prices, so there’s still a window to buy consoles at the previous rates.

Earlier, Nintendo already raised prices on its consoles, along with Valve, Microsoft, and Sony, while all major smartphone makers have also increased their prices.

Do you think this price hike is justified—and are you willing to buy AYN consoles at the new rates, especially with the possibility of further increases down the line?
