NVIDIA Releases RTX Spark Toolkit With Native Windows on Arm Support
NVIDIA released RTX Spark Toolkit on July 20, 2026, alongside support for native Windows on Arm development. The preview is intended to help developers build games and applications for Arm-based PCs while still using NVIDIA's RTX features.
Developers can use the toolkit to create native Arm64 versions without relying on emulation. NVIDIA says RTX Spark Toolkit also includes tools for porting, debugging, and optimizing games and software for Arm.
The toolkit is designed to preserve RTX technologies on Arm processors, including DLSS and ray tracing. According to NVIDIA, developers can compile applications directly on Windows on Arm devices or cross-compile from x86 systems.
NVIDIA also says the preview driver for RTX Spark is version 616.00 and is aimed first at the Microsoft Surface RTX Dev Box. The company adds that the first RTX Spark devices will go on sale this fall.
CUDA 13.4 also references RTX Spark support as a Windows on Arm preview, with native Arm64 development and x86_64 cross-compiling support. Taken together, the releases suggest NVIDIA is trying to make Arm development less dependent on emulation from the start.
Does native Windows on Arm support without emulation change how serious RTX Spark looks for developers?
