Retailers in Japan and South Korea are seeing GeForce RTX 50 stock get more expensive, with some models in South Korea already up by nearly 50%. According to data from Danawa compiled by Harukaze5719, average prices there have risen by about 30% since late July.
The steepest jump in South Korea was recorded for the GIGABYTE RTX 5060 Ti 8GB EAGLE MAX OC, which climbed from 472,500 to 706,120 won. The MSI RTX 5060 Ti 16GB VENTUS 2X PLUS OC also became noticeably more expensive, rising from 740,860 to 1,109,280 won. Other affected models in South Korea include the RTX 5050, RTX 5060, RTX 5070, RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5080, and RTX 5090, showing that the increases are spreading across the lineup.
In Japan, CFD Sales said Gigabyte graphics card prices on the CFD-BIZ wholesale platform will go up from August 1, 2026. The company estimated that the affected products will cost 120-140% of the previous price and warned that orders placed from that date will be subject to the new pricing.
CFD also said some unfulfilled orders made before August 1 may not be completed at the original price. If the distributor cannot supply unpaid products at the old cost, it may contact customers to discuss order cancellation, which means buyers could lose deals they already thought were secured.
Previously, raise GeForce RTX 50 prices floated the possibility of another 30% hike.
The situation leaves shoppers in both countries facing not only higher sticker prices, but also uncertainty over orders already in the system. How far do prices need to climb before customers start walking away from their GPU purchases?
