SanDisk unveils three Xbox Series X|S expansion cards with up to 2TB of storage

SanDisk's new Xbox Series X|S expansion lineup tops out at 2TB, but there is still no release date: the product page only offers a "Notify Me" option for now.

The range includes 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB versions, with introductory prices listed at $109.99, $199.99, and $339.99 respectively. SanDisk's official site also suggests that the regular prices may be higher: $137.99 for 512GB, $249.99 for 1TB, and $424.99 for 2TB.

According to SanDisk, the cards are part of the Optimus GX C50 range and use Xbox Velocity Architecture to deliver performance that matches the console's internal SSD. That means Xbox Series X|S-optimized games can run directly from the expansion card rather than only being stored on it.

SanDisk also says the cards support Quick Resume, and each one comes with a 1-month trial of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and 1 month of Discord Nitro. The cards are covered by a 5-year limited warranty.

SanDisk is now the third company to offer expansion cards for Xbox Series X|S, but the pricing remains high and the launch timing is still unclear. For players who want more built-in-style storage, that combination may be the biggest question of all.
