Bilibili prepares global app launch as it expands beyond China
Bilibili's app store listing now points to a broader international rollout, with downloads, offline viewing and AI translation among the features being emphasized.
On its website, Bilibili describes itself as Southeast Asia's leading anime, comics, and games community. The app page also highlights video downloading and offline viewing, suggesting the company is positioning the service as more than just a streaming destination.
Bilibili says it will also offer AI translation for users in other countries. The platform already hosts videos, anime, films, and livestreams, and it has been translating its content into other languages while attracting foreign creators.
Interest in the wider rollout is also being reinforced by bilibili Creator Hub, which said its debut indie animation campaign will launch soon. The account says animators will be able to submit a trailer of their work to get additional attention.

The campaign includes a combined cash prize of $15,000.
Bilibili's global push now raises a simple question: can AI translation and a broader content mix help the platform win international users?
