MxBenchmarkPC Says DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction Improves Cyberpunk 2077 Image Quality
In a new comparison, MxBenchmarkPC says DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction sharpens Cyberpunk 2077's image quality, and the files are already showing up in DLSS Swapper. The latest files for NVIDIA's upcoming Ray Reconstruction 4.5 model have appeared in the utility, although it does not officially support Preset F yet.
DLSS Swapper is a free utility for manually replacing DLL libraries used by NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR, or Intel XeSS in installed games. At the time of publication, users who wanted to try the new preset had to do some manual setup first.
According to the shared instructions, the workaround involves opening the dlss_d_presets.json file in DLSS Swapper Assets, changing Preset E to Preset F, saving the file, and restarting DLSS Swapper. After that, the new preset should appear among the available Ray Reconstruction options.
The new Ray Reconstruction 4.5 model uses Preset F, and the files already include the upcoming version of the technology. That means users no longer need to extract DLL files manually from the beta version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
NVIDIA had already confirmed an August release for DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction on GeForce RTX graphics cards. The company is also set to hold a GeForce On Community Update on August 25 at 8:00 PT / 17:00 CEST, where it plans to cover the latest GeForce features and upcoming PC games. The files arriving just before that stream have fueled speculation that the official release could be announced there.
Do you think it is worth enabling Preset F manually before official support arrives?
