Radeon RX 6000 owners can now try AMD FSR 4.1.1b through a DLL-only OptiScaler workaround, without the user-facing INT8 binary or the OptiScaler utility. The instructions say users need to download the DLL and swap it into the Binaries > Win64 folder in their game. The modified file also bypasses the INT8 check, making the feature a plug-and-play solution.

Ancient Gameplays showed FSR 4.1.1b in a few games and compared it side by side with FSR 4.0.2c. In that demonstration, the new version delivered a 2-3% performance improvement at 1440p with Balanced presets.

The biggest improvement over the previous version is not just raw performance. FSR 4.1.1b also reduces shimmering and ghosting, which is the main visual gain highlighted in the comparison.

There is also an important warning attached to the unofficial setup. FSR 4.1.1b is not recommended for online games, because anti-cheat systems may trigger bans.

Would you risk using unofficial FSR 4.1.1b support on unsupported Radeon hardware for a small performance boost?
