60 Best Co-op Games for Low-End PCs
60 co-op games for low-end PCs: online and local co-op, multiplayer for 2 to 100 players, system requirements from 256 MB of RAM—with a compatibility check for your hardware. Want to play with friends, but your computer can't handle modern games? We've compiled 55 co-op games specifically for low-end PCs and laptops. Unlike our extensive list of co-op games for all platforms—PS4, PS5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC—this list is tailored exclusively for PCs with minimum system requirements. What sets it apart from our selection of the best games for low-end PCs and laptops is its strict focus on co-op play: each game here truly shines in co-op, not solo play.
The list includes shooters, RPGs, survival games, platformers, strategies, and roguelikes. We've categorized them by genre—use the table of contents to jump directly to the section you need. Each game includes the genre, multiplayer type, number of players, and minimum system requirements. Below each game's description, there's a "Check your PC" button—it'll open a page with requirements and a built-in compatibility test for your hardware.
What do we consider a "weak PC" today
We define a "weak PC" as a PC or laptop that can't handle modern AAA games, but is capable of running titles with moderate system requirements. For the purposes of this selection, we're focusing on the following specifications:
- Processor: Dual-core processor (2 GHz or higher) (Intel Core i3 2nd-4th generation, AMD FX series, or equivalent)
- RAM: 2-6 GB RAM
- Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550-750 / AMD Radeon HD 5000-7000 series, or integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000+
- Storage: HDD or SSD of any capacity
If your computer roughly meets these specifications, most of the games in this selection will run without a hitch. The least demanding titles include Terraria, Don't Starve Together, Killing Floor, Garry's Mod, and GTA San Andreas: they'll run even on an office laptop with minimal graphics settings. The most power-hungry games are Risk of Rain 2 (GTX 580) and Portal Knights (GTX 470), but even they are incomparably more modest than modern heavy-duty games.
Co-op Shooters for Low-End PCs
Co-op shooters are a special pleasure: the feeling of a partner's support while clearing locations is unmatched by any single-player mode. This section features the most affordable titles, from the good old Left 4 Dead 2 and Killing Floor to the tactical Police Stories.
Deep Rock Galactic
- Genre: First-person shooter
- Platforms: PC
- Multiplayer: Co-op for 4 players
A first-person shooter where a team of dwarves explores mines on distant planets. Objectives can vary: from retrieving lost equipment to stealing giant insect eggs. The insects, of course, will defend their home from uninvited guests. The game is designed for co-op, since each of the four classes has unique abilities. For example, the Driller can easily break through thin walls, the Gunner sets up zip lines to cross chasms, and the Engineer provides cover with stationary turrets. Like many games in this genre, a successful expedition in Deep Rock Galactic earns you money to unlock better gear.
System requirements:
- Processor: Intel i5
- RAM: 6 GB
- Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 (2 GB) or AMD Radeon HD 7870
Lethal Company
- Genre: Horror, first-person shooter
- Platforms: PC
- Multiplayer: Co-op for 4 players
This co-op horror game is built around a simple idea: infiltrate abandoned complexes on distant planets, find valuable loot, and try to make it back home. The catch is that alien monsters already inhabit the buildings, and they’re not happy to see you. You can fight them with melee and ranged weapons, mines, and turrets. But the enemies are strong, so it’s often better not to attract attention and carefully leave with your loot.
Co-op play in Lethal Company almost always leads to chaos, shouting in chat, and lots of laughs. That’s because rooms are randomly generated, and some monsters can even get onto your ship — supposedly a safe zone. As a result, every raid is unpredictable and completely unique.
System requirements:
- Processor: Intel Core i5-7400 (3 GHz)
- RAM: 4 GB
- Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 (2 GB)
Alien Swarm: Reactive Drop
- Genre: Top-down shooter
- Platforms: PC
- Multiplayer: Co-op for up to 8 players
A free top-down co-op shooter where you blast and blow up alien bugs, including both original monsters and sand lions from Half-Life 2. There are a lot of enemies, so defeating them requires teamwork between different classes of fighters. Snipers provide long-range fire, assault troops engage at mid-range, engineers hack computers, and medics heal the wounded. The mechanics are simple but engaging, especially if you play Alien Swarm: Reactive Drop with friends.
System requirements:
- Processor: Intel Pentium 4 3 GHz or AMD Athlon XP
- RAM: 2 GB
- Video card: NVIDIA GeForce 6600 (128 MB) or AMD Radeon X800 GTO
Police Stories
- Genre: Action, shooter, tactics, roguelike
- Platforms: PC, Mac, Linux, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4
- Multiplayer: Online co-op and local 2-player co-op
Police Stories is a tactical game about police officers who go on dangerous calls and try to stop criminals. Criminals can take hostages, plant explosives, or sell illegal drugs—and they don't intend to go down without a fight.
The problem is that cops are extremely vulnerable. One wrong decision, and the gangsters will dispatch them in an instant. Therefore, it's important to act wisely: peek into doorways, throw flashbangs into buildings, watch your back, and cover your partner. Only coordinated teamwork will lead to victory.
Police Stories is designed exclusively for co-op play. Fortunately, finding a partner isn't difficult—after all, the game's system requirements are very modest.

According to the plot, the hero finds himself inside the mind of the cunning Mental: traveling through the villain's halls of consciousness, Sam will have to defeat hordes of creatures, challenge mighty bosses, and discover the invader's weak spot.
Serious Sam: Tormental can't be called an outstanding roguelike, but playing the game with a friend is fun. One gamer can control Sam himself, while the other can choose an extravagant character like Bad Bulb or Bullet. Each hero has their own strengths and weaknesses, and your build gets more interesting as you progress.

Barotrauma
- Genre: Management, roguelike, survival horror
- Platforms: PC
- Multiplayer: online co-op for 16 players
Barotrauma is definitely a co-op game. But in reality, things often go off the rails, and your journey through the mysterious depths of an alien ocean turns into chaos: someone forgot to close a hatch and put on a suit, someone got poisoned by some chemical, and a third crew member was eaten by a deep-sea monster. In short, staying afloat—literally—in Barotrauma is pretty tough. But it’s a lot of fun!
Try out the role of captain, mechanic, or security officer, perform your duties on the submarine, maintain the vessel, fend off monsters, travel between underwater stations, and complete missions. And remember—constant vigilance is a must! If you love survival games more than anything, check out our list The Best Survival Games for even more great projects.

- Platforms: PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2
- Multiplayer: Co-op for 4 players
Content Warning is somewhat similar to Lethal Company, as here a group of bloggers descends into an underwater city. Their goal is to attract the attention of subscribers by creating interesting content. That’s why they try to capture ancient artifacts and monsters hiding at the bottom of the sea on film. Of course, it’s important not only to document the existence of creepy creatures unknown to anyone, but also to make it out alive. If you succeed, you can attract wealthy sponsors. Thanks to advertising contracts, you’ll be able to purchase even more advanced equipment, allowing you to stay underwater longer and access new areas.

Together with friends, players will explore dungeons, build settlements, upgrade gear, and gather various resources. In short, it’s the standard open-world survival package in a new format—and you can bring your friends along. If you have an adventurous spirit, hate narrow corridors, and love exploring vast open spaces, find more options in our list The Best Open-World Games for Low-End PCs and Laptops in 2026.

Project Zomboid
- Genre: Action, survival
- Platforms: PC
- Multiplayer: local co-op for 4 players
Project Zomboid is a hardcore game where the hero must survive during a zombie apocalypse. Zombies roam the area at a leisurely pace, no one is coming to help, and hunger and thirst are still a problem. The story takes place at the beginning of the end of the world: at first, water still flows from the taps and you can store food in the fridge, but later on, all the comforts of civilization will disappear. In short, survival won’t be easy.
Even the basic mechanics present a challenge. For example, you can’t open a can without a special knife, and relaxing in bed without drawing the curtains is suicide. The game is full of such features, forcing you to think through every step.
The visuals are simple, so it will run even on old PCs. However, if you figure out the gameplay, Project Zomboid will captivate you even more than flashy AAA releases.

- Processor: any with a frequency of 1.7 GHz or higher

Co-op RPGs for Low-End PCs
Co-op RPGs offer dozens of hours of shared adventures, leveling, and joint decision-making. All the projects in this section will run on modest hardware, but still deliver a full RPG experience.
Diablo Immortal
- Genre: Role-playing
- Platforms: Android, iOS, and PC
- Multiplayer: online co-op for 4 players, multiplayer for 32 players
Diablo Immortal is deservedly criticized for aggressive monetization that helps players dominate in PvP. However, if you focus on the story and don’t chase high leaderboard ranks, you can get plenty of enjoyment from this free-to-play title.
Blizzard reduced the number of perks and possible builds, but still managed to preserve the core gameplay. Your hero dives into beautiful locations and hacks demons to pieces. Monsters come in crowds, magical skills turn them to ashes with style, and new gear keeps dropping from corpses. In the end, the monster genocide is highly addictive.
The developers also deserve praise for the bosses. There are many powerful enemies, they look menacing, and they actively change phases during fights. It’s fun to go on a raid, take down a huge beast, and collect priceless gems from its body.
System requirements:
- Processor: Intel Core i3
- RAM: 4 GB
- Video card: GTX 460

With this kind of power in your hands, you’ll have to save the world (spoiler in the game’s title!), complete lots of unusual quests, clear dungeons, and level up. You can do all this with a friend, either online or on the same screen.
System requirements:
- Processor: 2 GHz+
- RAM: 1 GB
- Video card: Shader Model 5.0 (DX11) support required (2 GB VRAM recommended, but the game has been tested and runs stably on Intel HD Graphics 520)

Divinity: Original Sin
- Genre: Role-playing game, turn-based, strategy
- Platforms: PC
- Multiplayer: Online and LAN co-op for up to 4 players, split screen for 2 players
Everyone knows that the second part of the title turned out to be a masterpiece, but many have forgotten that the original Divinity: Original Sin is just as good. Maybe the sequel has more memorable moments like Lohse's story finale, and it looks more gorgeous — but you can play the first part even on a weak PC.
Gamers will play as seekers of ancient and forbidden magic, which was recently used to commit a murder. The heroes must find the villain and deal with them — it may seem like a simple task, but soon it will become clear that the fate of the world depends on its completion.
To overcome evil, the seekers will have to complete hundreds of exciting quests, master dozens of magical abilities, participate in many turn-based battles, and get lost in the game world for hundreds of hours — and every minute will bring a lot of enjoyment.
Interestingly, there is a unique mechanic for co-op play. The game is variable, and quests can be completed in different ways. Players can disagree with each other and resolve the conflict with a heated argument — whoever's arguments are stronger will decide what to do next. Divinity: Original Sin is full of such advantages — if you're looking for a good RPG for co-op play, take a look at Larian's creation.

Streets of Rage 4
- Genre: Arcade, fighting
- Platforms: PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, iOS, and Android
- Multiplayer: Local co-op and online co-op for up to 4 players
Streets of Rage 4 will delight gamers who nostalgically remember the gaming industry of days gone by — this audience will surely shed a tear for a good beat 'em up. Some may find the gameplay too simple and the visuals old-fashioned, but that opinion will change once you get into the game. The combat system in Streets of Rage 4 is well-developed, and the visuals, backgrounds, and effects are drawn with soul.
Turning on a beat 'em up after a hard day, picking your favorite fighter, and clearing the streets of all sorts of riffraff is a great idea. Especially since even a weak computer can run the game.

Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince
- Genre: Arcade, puzzle
- Platforms: PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Stadia
- Multiplayer: Online co-op for up to 4 players, local co-op for up to 4 players
The Trine series has been entertaining gamers for 13 years. All this time, the developers have been improving the mechanics and coming up with new puzzles. It was in Trine 4 that they polished the formula to perfection and earned 91 percent positive reviews on Steam.
The main advantage of the platformer lies in the clever puzzles, which can only be solved by using the strengths of the heroes. Fire, air, light, magnets, electricity — if you skillfully use the elements, you'll find a way forward.
Combat with enemies, some of which are huge and intimidating, adds diversity to the gameplay. You can’t survive battles with mighty monsters without teamwork: for example, the wizard can ignite the archer’s arrow to help make a deadly shot.
Thanks to these mechanics, Trine 4 easily charms a company of up to four people with its lightness and originality. If you like the game, check out the previous installments — in terms of requirements, they're even more accessible than the fourth.

FAQ about Co-op Games for Low-End PCs
What are the most popular co-op games for low-end PCs?
Based on player count and Steam reviews, Minecraft, Terraria, Left 4 Dead 2, and Don't Starve Together are the leaders. All four run even on very modest hardware and support online co-op.
Are there free co-op games for low-end PCs?
Yes. Diablo Immortal and Mindustry are free. Garry's Mod is inexpensive and often goes on sale, and Left 4 Dead 2 regularly has free weekends on Steam.
Which games are suitable for couch co-op (local multiplayer)?
For local co-op on one PC/screen, the best options are: Overcooked 2, Streets of Rage 4, Castle Crashers, Rayman Legends, BattleBlock Theater, Guacamelee!, Portal 2, and Trine 4. All of them support split-screen or shared screen play.
Which co-op game for a low-end PC is best for a big group?

And what do you play on your laptop or low-end PC? Share in the comments!
What type of co-op do you prefer on PC?
Even more games
A low-end PC is no longer a sentence for co-op gaming. Sure, you probably won’t run the latest AAA shooter — but the list above clearly shows that there’s still a huge selection.
Terraria and Minecraft run on almost anything and can suck you in for hundreds of hours. Portal 2 is still one of the best co-op puzzles ever — and it doesn’t matter that it came out in 2011. Barotrauma honestly looks like it was made to destroy friendships in the most fun way possible.
Of course, this collection isn’t complete — there are many more co-op games with reasonable requirements. If you know something missing from this list that deserves a spot, let us know in the comments. We’ll update the article from time to time.
