Like the first game, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is an RPG set in Medieval Bohemia. There's no magic, dragons, or ancient prophecies here — only the harsh realities of the 15th century, sword fights, and castle sieges. This approach has its own charm, which has appealed to millions of players worldwide. The biggest surprise of 2025. This game from Ubisoft alumni turns out to be better than anything the French company has offered in recent years. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is an RPG with an unusual combat system that combines turn-based tactics and real-time battles. It also boasts an excellent story with an intriguing premise, depth, and well-developed characters, as well as an unusual setting — late 19th-century Europe with elements of dark fantasy.

A high-quality 2D Metroidvania in which you play as Hornet, the sister of the first game's protagonist. The combat system has changed, new abilities have been added, but the core remains the same: explore locations, complete quests, and battle bosses. After a string of unsuccessful titles, DICE has released a truly high-quality Battlefield. At least in terms of multiplayer. As before, you'll find a variety of modes featuring team battles and active vehicle use. Moreover, the advanced technology actually benefits the gameplay — for example, buildings are destructible during battles, and ruins can be used as cover.

Fans of story-driven shooters should check out Doom: The Dark Ages. This is a prequel to the latest installments in the series, set in the dark Middle Ages. The change in setting has benefited the game — even the basic mechanics now feel different. For example, many enemy attacks can be blocked or parried with a shield. A first-class third-person extraction shooter set in the distant future. In ARC Raiders humanity has failed to defeat aggressive robots, so people have been forced to hide underground. But from time to time, brave souls venture to the surface to carry out dangerous missions and search for valuable resources. You will be one of them.

Split Fiction is a new co-op game from Hazelight Studios, the creators of It Takes Two and A Way Out. It's a colorful platformer that blends fantasy and sci-fi. Each level has its own unique challenges, keeping you engaged until the very end. A great option for spending time with your significant other or best friend.

Borderlands 4 is a new installment in the looter shooter series, which differs little from its predecessors. The graphics have improved, the humor is less flat than in the threequel, and the new characters have unique abilities. As before, the game excels in co-op mode.

A roguelike game set in the world of ancient Greek mythology. This time, the main character is Melinoe, the sister of Zagreus from the original. She wields dark magic and must stop the Titan Kronos, who has escaped from Tartarus and is now threatening to destroy Olympus. Hades 2 is praised for its vibrant action gameplay and its adaptation of Greek legends into a video game format.

A 3D open-world platformer with tons of possibilities. For example, you can dig the ground using tools to create new paths. The game also features 2D levels in the style of earlier Donkey Kong games.

An indirect sequel to Ghost of Tsushima with a new protagonist but familiar gameplay. Set on the island of Hokkaido, the main plot revolves around assassin Atsu's quest for revenge for the murder of her parents. To defeat enemies, you need to carefully select your weapons and make active use of auxiliary tools, such as incendiary weapons and smoke bombs. According to many players, Ghost of Yotei was significantly better than Assassin's Creed Shadows, which had a similar setting.

A worthy sequel to the first game, which improves on many aspects of the original. The Outer Worlds 2 offers a large open world, a detailed universe, and slightly parodic factions that satirize capitalism and dictatorship. But the game's main advantage is the ability to solve the same problem in different ways. It all depends on the skills you've developed.

A decent souls-like game set in medieval China. It combines the realities of the Ming Dynasty with fantasy elements. The game is praised for its high-quality combat system, truly challenging bosses, and well-designed locations with plenty of shortcuts and detours. The problem is that the layout of the rooms in Blue Prince is constantly changing. Some of them contain challenging puzzles, and some doors are locked with a key that you still need to find. If you don't complete everything within 24 hours, you'll have to start over.

A role-playing game set in the myths of King Arthur. The main events unfold six centuries after his death. The protagonist must find a way to resurrect the ruler of England, as only he can save the world from destruction. Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon features a large open world with hundreds of quests, numerous characters, and factions, relationships with whom will change depending on your actions. In addition to combat using magic, melee, and ranged weapons, you can craft, fish, cook, and even farm.

A survival game set on a distant planet. The game's key feature is the ability to create clones with unique specializations. These clones allow you to build a base and begin harvesting valuable materials needed to overcome the food crisis. The Alters is praised for its non-linearity, both in the story and in the methods for achieving objectives.

In the new installment of the Dying Light series, you play as Crane, the protagonist of the original game. If you lower it, the game will turn into a standard third-person action game, making it accessible even to those who find Dark Souls too hardcore.

An arcade racing game featuring characters from the Super Mario Bros. series. As before, skillful use of power-ups is much more important than kart driving skills and navigating sharp turns. It's worth noting that Mario Kart World features an open world to explore, and a number of race participants has grown to 24.

In 2025, Bethesda gave fans a pleasant surprise when, without warning or prior announcement, it released a remaster of the fourth installment of The Elder Scrolls. Europa Universalis 5 covers a 500-year historical period, from 1337 to 1837. The game is guaranteed to receive numerous add-ons and mods in the near future, significantly expanding its core functionality.

The Elden Ring spin-off is a three-player co-op game. Team up with two friends to race through locations and battle bosses. These include familiar monsters from the original game and the Dark Souls series, as well as completely new opponents. Elden Ring Nightreign doesn't have an interesting plot or deep lore — it focuses solely on gameplay.
