Microsoft will raise prices for Game Pass and introduce a new subscription without new games

Microsoft is officially increasing the cost of Game Pass. Starting September 12, the price of the most expensive subscription will rise from $17 to $20 per month.

Other plans will also become more expensive. For example, PC Game Pass will cost $12 instead of $10, and the cost of an annual Game Pass Core subscription will increase from $60 to $70.

Along with this, Microsoft is introducing a new subscription version — Xbox Game Pass Standard for $15 per month. It will provide access to hundreds of games, but the latest releases like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Doom: The Dark Ages will be unavailable.

The company has also changed the terms of use for Xbox Game Pass for Console for $11. From July 10, new users will not be able to subscribe until Xbox Game Pass Standard appears.

The price increase occurred several months before the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. This is the first part of the series that service subscribers will be able to launch for free.
