I've been playing this game for quite a long time. This is a small but interesting indie project with procedural generation of the world, weapons, tools, and quests. Developed by Phr00t. Later the game had more advanced sequels - 3089, 4089, 5089, and 8089.
The plot: it is simple. There is a war going on on the planet, and the player who arrives on it is trying to understand what is happening here. Eventually we find the source of the problem and resolve it. The quests are mostly simple - fetch, track, serve, defeat the enemy. But among them there are also more complex ones, such as capturing outposts.
There are two main factions in the game, and although the game starts as one of them, you can choose either side, developing your reputation.
Mechanics: There is construction, terraforming, resource extraction with drills, trading, destructible environments, mechanics of jetpacks, grappling hooks, weight, modules for improving protection and restoring energy reserves and lives. There are several classes of weapons and armor with randomly generated characteristics: pistols, machine guns, sniper rifles, grenade launchers, rocket launchers, and melee weapons, helmets, pants, boots and chest armor. There is the construction of our own bases with the ability to store and protect something in them. There is also transport in the form of airplanes. A skill system that opens up the opportunity to use new weapons, more powerful vehicles, and take on more complex quests.
Multiplayer is simple, but it works: use Hamachi or Radmin (or similar programs). In fact, you can play through the same game, only with a friend - building bases with him, completing quests, etc.
I would also like to note the very cool soundtrack, especially the tracks “wander 2”, “wander 3” and “wander 4”.
