Inside VGTimes
Welcome to VGTimes.com, an international online media platform featuring a vast game database, essential files, and all the resources players need! Our website covers everything from video games and the gaming industry to pop culture, movies, technology, and internet trends.
Who We Are
Every day, we monitor dozens of publications and insider's social media pages, review press releases sent to the project official email (pr@vgtimes.com), and publish most compelling insights and crucial updates. Our team focuses on news about games, hardware and technology, internet trends, popular movies, and pop culture. In our news materials, we always cite an official source of information (or the primary source we found) or media content from publishers.
Our editors produce in-depth, unique articles, including:
Our editorial team creates quizzes and launches versus battles, adding entertaining elements to our informative content.
Additionally, we actively maintain our game database, which in 2024 includes over 63,000 entries and is regularly updated.
Beyond being informative, our game catalog serves a practical purpose as well. On each game’s page VGTimes users can:
- Check if their PC meets the technical requirements for a game and receive upgrade recommendations (example);
- Download essential files (save files, mods, trainers);
- Compare game prices across different stores;
- Leave mini-reviews, which we publish after moderation.
Registered users can not only read editorial materials and leave comments on them but also publish their posts through the UGC panel and post on the forum. All user-generated content undergoes moderation.

Our Story
Originally, VGTimes was a Russian-language website, registered on July 19, 2010, and launched in 2011.
At that time, VGTimes was a news site, but it soon expanded to include game reviews and other articles. Over time, the site began publishing reviews of movies, animated films, and TV series. Meanwhile, the news team continues to stay current, covering the main events in the gaming industry.
In 2015, VGTimes launched a comprehensive game database that continues to expand. That same year, we introduced a guides section, inspired by the high-profile release of Fallout 4. The editorial team uncovered all the secrets of Bethesda Game Studios' project and assisted players in completing the game.
In 2016, the site introduced a price aggregator, enabling users to find the best game deals across numerous marketplaces and save money. Additionally, the Tavern section offers chances to win free games.
Since 2019, the site has featured a quiz section where users can take fun tests on current gaming topics and discover new insights about themselves. In 2020, we introduced the Versus section, where readers can vote for their favorite characters, games, and more.
As of July 28, 2020, VGTimes became a registered trademark. After several years of dedicated development, VGTimes.com officially launched in mid-2024.
