Alice jumped down the rabbit hole and found herself in a land of... Miracles, did you think? No, MADNESS!!!
Alice: Madness Returns is a fairy tale turned inside out. A fairy tale with a psychedelic plot, which instead of joy causes fear, and where there should be logical solutions, new mysteries arise. A fairy tale in which, instead of bizarre creatures, there live disgusting monsters generated by the sick psyche of a lonely child.
I won’t rant about the plot of the game. I’ll just say that although it doesn’t have enough stars in the sky, it’s overall pretty good, presented both in dialogues (by the way, quite interesting) and when finding hidden objects. Now, as for the location design... Oooh, it's just gorgeous. No other game has such a surreal design. It is simply impossible to describe in words what appears to the eye. This also applies to the game's music. The music in Alice: Madness Returns sets the pace of everything that happens on the screen and is essentially a separate “visualizer” of what is happening.
It's time to talk about the shortcomings present in Alice: Madness Returns. One of the most unpleasant aspects is the overall length of the adventure, due to which many game situations are repeated and gradually become boring. Also, the game has problems with camera behavior, which most often manifest themselves during battles. Well, the last drawback is the unbalanced difficulty of the game, which, coupled with a problematic camera, can fray your nerves.
Well, that seems to be all. Now decide for yourself... Are you ready to take on this “crazy” adventure?
