I will compare it with the first part
The game is quite meager in terms of items (many are simply copied from the previous part), from which there is little to take, the gameplay is not very diverse, when a nearby enemy flashlight begins to blink long before danger, which does not allow you to plunge into the atmosphere at all into a gloomy atmosphere. The optimization is simply terrible, if I completed the last part at maximum and there was nothing lagging, then in Machine for Pigs I had to set absolutely everything to minimum, and even then the game managed to be terribly stupid in some locations (despite the fact that all parts were licensed). The game is scary most of the time with loud sounds and camera shake. The plot... Since I completed about a third of the game (I determined it by the achievements received for passing checkpoints), I became more familiar with the plot on Wikipedia. The plot is disgusting and not entirely logical. The only thing that can be praised is the design of the locations, which is done quite well. If you are a very big fan of horror, then maybe you will like it
