Here it is, the long-awaited sixth part of the series, which was Fromsoftware's bread and butter for many years, before the advent of the bombastic Dark Souls series. Let's go straight to the pros and cons, they are twofold.
Pros: Graphics - you don’t even need to say anything here, watch screenshots and videos, or play yourself. There is no such thing here that you can see yourself sitting through the screen in the reflection, but the composition of the picture is incredibly done, which is good news.
Customization - I gave it a 7 as part of Armored Core, but in comparison with other games not related to the series this is a solid 10. Here you can not only repaint the mech and equip it with any weapons for every taste, but also decorate it as your heart desires ( Hello, Need For Speed).
The gameplay is good action with mechs, nothing to say, the combat is similar to Elden Ring with additional depth (here you can fly, and there are not 2, but 4 weapons).
The plot - there are three whole endings, in each of the three playthroughs the missions change very much
The characters - wow. Less is more. We won’t listen to monologues for half an hour and watch incredibly long cutscenes, but in short remarks all the characters throughout the game receive enough characterization so that we understand who is who - and you become attached to them, although you never see their faces during the entire game.
Now the disadvantages (they are very subjective and come from a person who played the previous parts):
The closeness of the gameplay - it all comes down to the fact that you are almost looking head-on at the enemy, who is two steps away from you . There is no sniper gameplay, it was cut out for the sake of close combat.
Customization - I described the excellent painting possibilities, like in a blender, this is class, BUT, compared to previous parts, they cut out just a colossal number of categories (!), not even models, weapons. A very meager set of parts in one category, but for some reason ten identical bazookas. There are no bazooka hands, no weapon hands at all. There aren't many, many types of legs, by the way, legs for floating in the air are limited to only two options - meager? Very. The tuning system has been greatly simplified; it is more like a regular upgrade.
Soundtrack - meh. It's not terrible, but I only remember two tracks, it's just boring ambient, rarely giving way to electric howls.
In conclusion: if you are not a fan of the series, you will like it. If you are a fan, you will like it, but there will be a feeling that something is missing. Try it, play. The real final boss will surprise you if you followed the plot, which is done easily and naturally.
