I’ll say a little about my overall impression of the game. It seems to me that this is one of the best stories in the entire series, it is told without excessive pathos on the part of the main character, the actions are simple and understandable to any person, you are imbued with his story, that same sad story of the legendary killer of the Assassins and Templars.

Plot. This is a wonderful story about misunderstanding and rose-colored glasses around the protagonist, when good goals, achievements and ahead of competitors come to the fore, but in the end it turns out to be only self-conviction. At the moment of the story, you can trace the development of Shay from the point of view of moral beliefs and choice of actions, he becomes more cold-blooded and sadder.

Gameplay. In the game, as in ot… Read full

One of the best games in the series. I bought it along with Unity and, probably, Rogue made a strong impression on me, but not probably, but definitely, because I completed Unity first, and then this one. Since the “next-gen” Assassin was poor, not because the optimization was lame and there were bugs, but also because the plot was almost a copy of the second part, so Arno was the spitting image of Ezio, both externally and internally. + a bunch of useful features went down the drain. So, joining the world of Rogue was just fucking nice: in essence, it’s a black flag, but now we’re playing as a Templar. The game has a lot of new features, new weapons, etc. For the first time we are given the opportunity to hunt a hunter, that is, kill assassins. In terms of the plot, everything is also goo… Read full

The best part, there is everything here - freedom of movement on ships, capture of ports, and the most interesting part - boarding: D

There is no fundamentally new gameplay, only details: a grenade launcher, an icebreaker ship with guns on all sides, the ability to leave burning oil on the water. Everything else is the legacy of Black Flag. Except that the setting—cold, snowy and harsh nature—looks great.

What I liked most was the plot: in the past it combined the third, fourth, and even the next fifth. And in the present, it continues the line of Abstergo Entertainment from Black Flag and is even plot-linked with Chronicles. + The developers left us many reminders about the previous parts (for those who are not aware or have forgotten) in the files of the Abstergo company. This part shows us for the first time that assassins also make mistakes and break a lot of wood, and sometimes their struggle for freedom reaches the … Read full

Probably my favorite part of the series.

I really like the pirate setting, but at the same time, the “Black Flag” part didn’t appeal to me as much as “Cast Away.”

There is an interesting story and battles on ships, which often distracted me from the main plot (or you can just turn off your brain and sail on a ship through beautiful landscapes).

Indeed, throughout the entire plot one can notice the development of the main character, who was initially just an errand boy for the assassins, who thought that everything was going wrong for him and his order. But after some actions that the assassins forced him to do, he realizes that something is wrong, that he is doing something wrong, and decides to take the other side.

The game didn’t bring anything directly innovative to the series (except for t… Read full
