It turned out average-weak compared to Origins and Odyssey (that’s the top). To begin with, the graphics - to manage to ruin the picture, you still have to try, they got rid of the brakes in a year of patches, the soap was only partially removed by external settings, but it still looks clumsy, it can’t be compared with the beauties of its predecessors (I won’t argue - on the console and a huge TV in 2nd it’s quite decent ). Secondly, the pure mathematics of the game - apparently, for the sake of simplifying balancing, they reduced the gear to a minimum and reduced the dependence on its parameters to zero - only perks, taking into account that it is pumped up with a limited resource and the conditional levels are enough for all skills, there is a strict link to the initially selected set and as such, there is a lack of diversity (it cannot be compared with the Odyssey variations), this is no longer “RPG elements”, but simply a slasher film. Well, mixing the combat of Origins and Odyssey is not a plus - the simultaneous skills of Egypt and the abilities of Greece turn out to be neither one nor the other (I am a supporter of the Odyssey option). Thirdly, reducing all the side effects to the category of random encounters (in terms of implementation) and literally littering the maps with monotonous activities did not benefit the game, “capture N forts” of Odyssey is just flowers. The functionality of the birds was cut :(

Two advantages of the game that make it worth going through at least once - the continuation of the story and the introduction into the game of the development of settlements, alliances, etc. (this layer of gameplay, as an addition of motivation, was quite successful).
