Who would have thought in 2009 that such a wonderful game about a superhero could appear in the world. Today, every Batman: Arkham is a holiday for lovers of high-quality action games. And 4 years ago we were fed only by projects about Spider-Man of various kinds (there was no trace of genius in them). Thanks to Rocksteady for coming out of nowhere and giving us two such quality games!

I remember with what pleasure I explored all the nooks and crannies of Arkham Asylum. I was surprised how the game changes as you progress: the bandits try to resist Batman by mining his beloved gargoyles and putting heart rate sensors on themselves. It was an amazing experience and one that I continue to spend time playing games for. But this is not the main thing here. The Joker is in charge here! It seems … Read full

Not too long ago, superhero games weren't exactly big hits in the gaming industry. Either they were terrible to the point of indecency, or they simply did not evoke any emotions. But in 2009, everything changed with the release of a game based on Batman comics - Batman: Arkham Asylum.

At that time, the game simply amazed everyone with its original and creative approach to the gameplay.

A lot of attention was paid to all aspects of the game. The design and style of the graphic component left only positive emotions. The noir nature and certain severity of what was happening fascinated me more and more and forced me to stay longer in this world in need of help. The storyline here is interesting from the very beginning at the beginning to the final video with credits at the end.

I didn’t perceive Batman as a superhero at all, because he is not a mutant, he has no superpowers, and in general the gothic mood was repulsive. I didn't even watch the films. When the game came out, a friend of mine, an ardent bats fan, recommended it to me. I motivated it by the fact that it has a cool combat system, and in general, it’s great fun. As it turns out, he was right. I even began to delve into the plot, plus the atmosphere of the psychiatric hospital, and I always liked this, be it in films or games. I liked everything: the graphics, the gameplay, especially the combat system, the plot, and the Joker was simply gorgeous. In a little more than a day I mastered the game, and somehow I even felt a little sad. After this game I started watching Nolan's films, thanks to Rocksteady. Geniuses!

The first full-fledged Batman, he is, for me, the most successful of all that came out later.

I liked this part so much that at one time I completed it twice on a pirated version (because I couldn’t pass it in one place due to the fact that it was pirated), and later I bought a license and was completely satisfied.

For these several attempts at passing, I owe it to the interesting, at that time, gameplay and captivating plot. It was really fun to beat up your enemies back then. The final battle generally deserves special applause.

In 2009, "Batman: Arkham Asylum" was released - a game about the cult comic book character from the then virtually unknown studio Rocksteady. Despite the "Dark Knight"that thundered a year earlier , which finally revived public interest in the hero, no one expected anything special from the game, everyone hoped to see, at best, a passable beat-em-up, for it is no secret that games licenses have always been, to put it mildly, of dubious quality. The louder "Arkham Asylum" thundered throughout the world, setting an incredible standard for quality not only among projects about superheroes, but, perhaps, for the entire genre of action games.

First of all, attention is drawn to the plot, which here is not just an “incentive” to action for the characters and a justification for the gameplay, the Read full

After this game I loved superheroes, I loved the DC universe, I loved Batman. Neither in Nolan's films nor in the animated series of past years have I seen Batman be such a tough professional who, with all his appearance, skills and prowess, shows all criminals that he is the master of the situation, that he can easily deal with any criminal if he refuses to cooperate ...at the same time, he does not get into trouble, does not act macho, simplicity and cold calculation...while the villains are unique examples of various phobias and madness, requiring an individual approach...the fights were exciting, gadgets, despite comical console "Bat", were really cool and useful... and what a delight I felt from simply flying from one peak to another, before the next game appeared... The game is a mas… Read full

Batman: Arkham Asylum... wow scary

Graphics: if they hadn’t told me that it was from 2009, I would still think that it was from 2013-2014

Plot: interesting

Requirements: weak PC

Thanks to this game I even learned the biography of some of the villains

I'm not a fan of DC, much less Batman himself. Although I have nothing against him and I can easily watch some part of a film or cartoon with this character.

In general, before trying this game, I first watched a small part of the gameplay on YouTube and realized that the game was interesting. In general, this game opened up my great interest in the Batman universe. Especially when I played in a completely Russian localization (including voice acting) and while finding secrets and unraveling the secrets of the riddler, I learned the biography of this or that positive or negative character. There they presented stories about characters from the Batman universe so well (especially listening to audio) that I really began to like this universe.

I also really enjoyed solving the riddles of the ri… Read full

Lost the game at roulette. For those times, this game was simply excellent, now you can’t buy it on Steam, but you can download a torrent. For some, this is a childhood game and they play it with nostalgia. I only recently started going through it, but I can already tell about the oppressive atmosphere, about a well-transferred comic. I recommend this passage to those who like to have fun.

Classic. The best game about superhero(es). R.I.P Kevin Conroy. In general, I recommend it!

"Batman: Arkham Asylum" is the best game of all that just came out in the world in 2009!!! Before this game (a very long time ago), there was a game about a super stupid Kryptonian from the DC comics universe. This game, as well as its main character, turned out to be too stupid and primitive. But “The World's Greatest Detective” is not just “a completely different matter,” but an entirely different game!!!

There are a great many riddles here, few of which can be solved only if you listen carefully to them and think about them, and other riddles require a secret passage, which is also worth thinking about, a lot of additional information about Batman’s opponents on audio recordings of psychotherapy sessions, people familiar to true fans from the separate world of Batman, game characters who… Read full
