The Battlefield series has always been one of my favorites. I started with Battlefield 1942 and, accordingly, could not miss Battlefield 4. Regarding the storyline, I can only say one thing: it’s here just for show and you shouldn’t expect anything supernatural. Battlefield 2 didn't have a single player at all, but that didn't stop it from becoming one of the best multiplayer games in history.
Multiplayer is, of course, the main component of Battlefield 4, and here it must be said that it did not disappoint. Fixed many errors in the third part related to the imbalance of power on large maps, this was due to the superiority of skilled fighter pilots over other players on the server. Of course, there were also new problems, regardless of the little things that have been or will be corrected by new patches, the main problem is the game’s network code (netcode). Having approached the enemy from the rear and stabbed him in the back with a full clip, you are not always sure whether he is dead.
But otherwise the multiplayer is simply amazing, a large number of well-thought-out maps, the zest of which is added by the dynamic change of weather or environment. I was also pleased with the variety of vehicles and weapons in the game. For me personally, a small minus was the completely redesigned ballistics in the game, after all, in two years you get used to Battlefield 3, but here you are forced to forget everything you knew and learn to play from scratch. Although this certainly does not threaten new players. It is impossible not to mention the commander mode, it has been completely redesigned since Battlefield 2. Now the commander cannot run with his teammates, but only watch them from a bird's eye view and help in various ways. Playing in commander mode, whether from a tablet or phone (5+ inches diagonal), is also very convenient. Well, for the rest, the picture was polished, the destruction became even more realistic, the sound was brought to perfection and Battlefield 4 still remains one of the best multiplayer games.
