Games BattleTech All reviews Review from TamTam

I was waiting for this game. Moreover, I was patiently waiting for Russian localization. And so, when, according to reviews on Steam, the main buggies disappeared, I started playing. I liked the localization - I didn’t notice any translation errors. I didn't like the graphics AT ALL. I’m not picky about the graphics, but here everything is somehow small, implausible, there’s some kind of constant flickering, the missiles being fired look more like bees, the shells from the cannons fly like from tanks like dandies. You can’t help but feel like you’re looking through a microscope at an anthill with tin soldiers.

There are no complaints about the music - it matches the theme of the game.

The plot is a cliched tribute to current trends. A kind, masculine girl takes revenge on a sadistic man. We seem to be helping freedom fighters... For the freedom of some kings to rule instead of others. The princess is ready to tear everyone and everything for her beloved... funny. There is always some kind of stupid pathos, an abundance of meaningless details and little things, such as descriptions of competing houses. Why do all this if it is not useful in the game and there is no fundamental difference?

The controls are inconvenient - while holding the button you need to move the mouse. Because of this, there are constant missclicks.

The system of filling the “spear” squad with furs finished off. The game has a system of power points for robots and I, naive, thought that it was power that limited the filling of a squad with mechs. But no! You can take 4 mechs into battle, no more. Weak or strong, it doesn't matter. This is complete crap, in my opinion. No freedom of choice. The meaning of these power points is not clear then.

The idea is good, the implementation sucks, I don’t recommend this game.
