An excellent adventure quest, somewhat reminiscent of the first parts of Fallout.
When I first launched the game, I thought that I would drop it in an hour or two, but no, I completed it completely and was extremely satisfied.
To a large extent, the game consists of searching for all sorts of objects and dialogues that open up new locations and advance us through the plot. In the world of this game there are a lot of factions that are at war with each other, but not with the hero (otherwise it would definitely be some kind of Fallout, and not an adventure quest). All factions have their own distinctive features, motives, style of conversation, in short, despite the isometry, the game world really feels alive and you experience certain emotions for the factions and their members.
There are a lot of puzzles in the game, some are really easy, others you need to think about carefully.
An incredibly interesting plot, you can feel the teamwork of the three main characters: the hero himself, who lost his wife because of the “Dome,” his brother and a mechanical dog. But I didn’t understand the ending at all.
The game also has variability; we will be given a choice several times which faction should be helped and which should be harmed.
Another interesting thing is that in the world where the heroes find themselves there is not a single person except them. Instead of homo sapiens, it is inhabited by the most bizarre creatures, even a talking locomotive. It seems to me that the developers smoked a lot of illegal substances before making this game.
Very cool sound, voice acting, interface sound, footstep noise, music. The mechanics of moving around the game world using the Buffalo aircraft also reminded me of the mechanics of moving from the first two Fallout parts.
Very atmospheric and bright graphics, hence the word “Beautiful” in the name of the game.
If you don’t mind taking a break from invigorating shooters for a few days and solving puzzles in an incredibly colorful world, then welcome to Beautiful Desolation ❤
