Games Beyond Good & Evil All reviews Review from Paranoid

Another one of those games that for some reason I knew nothing about at the time of its release. But after looking at someone’s review and how they praised it, I decided to try it. And guess what? The game is really cool, they knew how to make games. The game is beautiful, the plot is captivating, the gameplay is varied and interesting.

In short, the game has stood the test of time and still plays great today.

Nevertheless, I reduced it by 2 points because of the camera/controls, it’s very annoying. It is through a slash because the fact is that in the game the camera changes its angle sharply and without warning, and standard WASD is responsible for movement and in the game, regardless of the camera angle, W is responsible for making the character run from the player, S- at the player, A and D - left and right, respectively. And one thing definitely needed to be done wrong. Either the camera should be fixed at least within one location, and not jump, or the control should be fixed so that “W” is always responsible for the character running forward, and “S” back, and not so when the camera suddenly switches , Jade runs the other way. For example, there is a camera behind me, in front of me there is a rise with mines arranged in a checkerboard pattern, and my goal is to run around them, and so I start moving by holding W, run around the mines and BANG, W is no longer running forward, but to the right and I run into a mine, cool what. Or a fight with a mob, you seem to want to run around it, but because of the camera/controls you constantly get lost. At first it wasn’t so infuriating, but it feels like the further into the plot, the more and more often this damn camera suddenly changes its angle. Sorry, it's boiling)
